La cithare 'gong' des Jörai est faite d'un entre-noeud de bambou fermé des deux côtés, de 70 à 90 cm de long et de 5 à 8 cm de diamètre, muni d'un résonateur de calebasse. Douze ou treize cordes métalliques, généralement récupérées sur des câbles de freins de bicyclette, sont disposées en demi-cercle autour du tuyau porteur, tendues sur chevalets annulaires et serrées par des chevilles.

Instrumental music. Gông tube zither with 12 strings. The Jörai 'gong' zither is made of a bamboo internode closed on both sides, 70 to 90 cm long and 5 to 8 cm in diameter, fitted with a gourd resonator. Twelve or thirteen metal strings, generally recovered from bicycle brake cables, are arranged in a semi-circle around the supporting pipe, stretched on annular trestles and tightened by dowels.
