Original description

en Vocal and instrumental music collected in Kalimantan Timur in 1977 by N. Revel, J. Maceda and I Made Bandem. A male chorus begins followed by a solo male voice recounting a historical event. A warrior said to be the messenger of the Sultan of Kutai, dances ritual pantomime while offering a glass of water to the Raja, seated on the large humped gong. With gliding steps, he draws circles with his arm and follows a long diagonal line to bring the glass and place it in the Raja's hands. This offering dance lasted 4 minutes and the Raja stood up, received the glass and drank it. Traditionally, this dance took place at the end of a peace pact and after that the community waited to be informed of the contents of the agreement.
