Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. A group comes down from the house, passing over the drawbridge between the cages and the house. We can clearly hear the rhythm of the kangkuang slit drum and the tuung cylindrical drum. Children's voices.

2nd night of a six-day ritual (Gawai Mamandung ritual). This day is called Bumbulan. Repeated structure of the ritual sequences:
1) opening by the singers
2) gong: introductory ritual opening
3) descent of the men and women of the house, they will dance around the cages to the sound of the rhythmic manjaratun
4) the rest of the night passes to the sound of the gulembang play.
