French linguist and anthropologist, in collaboration with the Pala'wan highlanders - an animist society of southern Palawan (Philippines), she has analyzed their language, their knowledge and views of the phenomenal world they live in, as well as their verbal arts, particularly the poetics of kulilal songs and many epics, tultul. She has built since 1970 up to 2024 a multimedia archive on epics among 16 national cultural minorities in this archipelago.
