en This collection gathers recordings made between August 24 and September 14, 1992, by Dana Rappoport (student in ethnomusicology) and Joséphine Simonnot (sound engineer and student in musicology). It brings together 71 items. The two young women, aged 24, travelled by local bus in search of music that was still alive. They have recorded the music from three ethno-linguistic groups: the Manggarai (east, central, south), the Ngada, and the Sikka (Tana 'Ai dialect).

Les deux jeunes femmes, qui avaient alors 24 ans, circulaient en bus locaux, à la recherche de musiques encore vivantes. Elles ont enregistré les musiques de trois groupes linguistiques : Manggarai (sud, centre et est), Ngada et Sikka (dialecte Tana 'Ai).
