Original description

Field recording collected by Dana Rappoport at Tanjung Bunga, Eastern Flores, from 2009 to 2012.

SEA Annotations

Here, two duets sung by only three performers (the most expert): Bapa' Dao, Bapa' Kobus and Bapa' Belu. This harvest song is reserved for the ritual field (kebun adat) of the Koten clan of the village of Keka, land master clan (tuan tana). It seems unique to Keka village, or at least Riang Puho locality. It is particularly difficult to perform.
