Field recording collected by Dana Rappoport at Tanjung Bunga, Eastern Flores, from 2009 to 2012.

SEA Annotations

The beware song is about the suicide of a brother in a field. It is a song of great sadness, specific to the village of Keka. There is another version in the CD Songs of the Islands of Flores and Solor, International Archives of Popular Music (2010).
