Comment
Kabupaten Flores Timur, Kecamatan Wulangitan, Boru Kedang village. ** Ethnicity: Sikka? Klowin (Krowe) language. In this village, a great ceremony called longsop consists of passing souls from one place to another. It takes place after the harvest, so around August September here, still in the dry season. To save dead souls. For all souls. On this occasion, sing the 'enok song and the Barangbaler song, a rare, masculine song, in duet, up to 20 pairs. They go around in circles and the women are around the circle. All night, do not sleep. Until the next day, they bring the bawa sopé (a part of the body of the dead?) Cassette films 18 and 19. In pairs, polyphonic. (Keywords): ALTERNATE SINGING - POLYPHONY - FUNERAL•
