The singers are “young people” brought from their region by a “patrol” (term to be verified) for the Catholic mission in Kiunga. Structure of the musical excerpt: A melodic-thematic formula is repeated four times with a moment of silence between each repetition. The pattern is always the same: one individual calls out, joined by the others. They move together from a “piano” to a crescendo with a “forte” climax. Then the formula is repeated. Notes on the recording dates of this excerpt: The first Catholic missions in Papua New Guinea date back to 1960, so we can assume that this recording was made between 1960 and 1963. Les chanteurs et chanteuses sont des ''jeunes gens'' ramenés depuis leur région d'une ''patrol'' (terme à vérifier) pour la mission catholique de Kiunga. Structure de l'extrait musical: Une formule mélodico-thématique est répétée quatre fois avec un moment de silence entre chaque répétition.
Avec toujours le même schéma : Appel d'un individu, rejoint par les autres. Allant ensemble d'un ''piano'' jusqu'à un crescendo avec un point culminant ''forte''. Puis reprise de la formule. Remarques sur les dates d'enregistrement de cet extrait : Les premières missions catholiques en Papouasie Nouvelle-Guinée datant de 1960, nous pourrions supposer que cet enregistrement a été fait entre 1960 et 1963.
