Cithare (16 strings). Luth 1 en forme de lune. Luth 2 piriforme. Flûte à 6t. Viela (2 strings).. Prélude avant la pièce. Le quintette (Ngu Tuyêt) se compose du dàn tranh (cithare à seize cordes), du dan nhi (vièle à deux cordes) et du dan nguyêt (luth en forme de lune) ainsi que du dan ty ba (luth piriforme à quatre cordes) et du dan tam (luth à trois cordes). Parfois à ces cinq instruments s'ajoute aussi la flûte traversière.

Zither (16 strings). Moon-shaped lute (1). Pear-shaped lute (2). 6-string flute. Fiddle (2 strings). Prelude before the piece. The quintet (Ngu Tuyêt) consists of the Dàn Tranh (sixteen-string zither), the Dan Nhi (two-stringed fiddle), and the Dan Nguyêt (moon-shaped lute), as well as the Dan Ty Ba (four-stringed pear-shaped lute) and the Dan Tam (three-stringed lute). Sometimes, the transverse flute is also added to these five instruments.
