This tale was translated by Solange Thierry and François Martini (written version from the Buddhist Institute of Phnom Penh). This oral version is longer than the written version from the Buddhist Institute of Phnom Penh. There is a fairly significant difference compared to the written version: e.g., a very detailed description of the character. First reel: Two poor orphaned young men, the elder of whom has gone to work for the 'setthi' (the wealthy man). He loves the 'setthi's' daughter (a play on words). At 8:00 PM, he went to sleep with her. In the morning, the setthi catches them and gives them permission to marry.
