Vocal and instrumental music collected in Kalimantan Timur in 1977 by N. Revel, J. Maceda and I Made Bandem. After looking for visitors on the opposite bank, climb the notched staircase. The singing begins. Traditional ritual of welcoming visitors near the longhouse overlooking the river. Sacrifice of a chicken and sprinkling of blood and water on each visitor followed by an offering of drink, tellang layuk. The men's singing continues. (Cf. Bilingual booklet.
