“According to Reverend Father Boutary, the dance ceremonies took place on the occasion of the sacrifices at the end of the harvest, after the rice had been brought back to the granary in the house. On this occasion, neighboring villages were invited. There was a buffalo sacrifice. The party lasted two days and two nights. (Cf.
