Private recording, made at my request at the musicians' home. 'Hat Noi' refers to a predominant genre of song in the Ca Trù repertoire, and particularly in the 'Hat Choi' (the urban repertoire of Ca Trù, intended for the entertainment of a small, educated circle). According to the musicians and the educated, the enunciation of this song 'like poetic speech,' that is, with a 'clear and rounded' diction, explains its name of 'spoken-sung.' Excerpt from the sung poem: 'As far as the eye can see, there are only mountains, streams, and clouds! (...) In the apricot forest, the birds chirp and offer fruit to Buddha / In the Yên stream, the fish swim nonchalantly and listen to the chants of the monks.' Nguyen Thu Thao is the daughter of Nguyên Vân Khuê (born in 1962). IFP-phach = a bamboo board struck with two wooden sticks, one of which is split. CL-dan-day = a lute with three nylon strings (formerly silk), trapezoidal body. Muou (2 sung verses), followed by a Hat noi (19 sung verses) on a poem by the famous scholar Chu Manh Trinh (1862-1905).

Enregistrement privé, réalisé à ma demande chez les musiciens. Le 'hat noi' désigne un genre de chant prédominant dans le répertoire du Ca Trù, et notamment du 'hat choi' (répertoire urbain de Ca Trù dévolu au divertissement d'un petit comité lettré). Selon les musiciens et les lettrés, l'énonciation de ce chant 'comme une parole poétique', c'est-à-dire avec une diction 'claire et ronde', explique son appellation de 'parler-chanté'.
Extrait du poème chanté : 'A perte de vue, on ne voit que des monts, des ruisseaux et des nuages ! (...) Dans la forêt d'abricotiers, les oiseaux gazouillent et font des offrandes de fruits à Bouddha / Dans le ruisseau Yên, les poissons nagent nonchalamment et écoutent les cantiques des bonzes.' Nguyen Thu Thao est la fille de Nguyên Vân Khuê (né en 1962). IFP- phach = planchette de bambou frappée avec 2 baguettes en bois, dont une est fendue. CL-dan-day = luth à 3 cordes de nylon (autrefois de soie), caisse trapézoïdale. Muou (2 vers chantés), suivi d'un Hat noi (19 vers chantés) sur un poème du célèbre lettré Chu Manh Trinh (1862-1905).
