Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. Sanggar Amboyo. saron transverse bamboo flute: 2 sets of tawak gongs (3 suspended) drums It is a song accompanied by a gong which tells the story of children who play a spinning top while their parents are away in the field. The parents told the child to wait for the rice to dry. Caught in their spinning top game, the children forget to pick up the rice that was drying. The rain falls. And when they return, the parents see the wet rice. The mother is not angry yet. She takes the top. The spinning top is cut in two: the body is put on a plate and the thread is cut then placed in a salad bowl. At meal time, the child who was playing the top is brought to the longhouse. He goes up."Eat". The child lifts the lid of the plate. Instead of rice, he has a spinning top and instead of vegetables, he has thread. The child is sad. His brothers and sisters follow him. In their sadness, they leave their parents and go into the jungle. On their way, they take the words of a song from their mother. In the Indon Song, there is a verse that upsets parents. Because in the forest, there is no one and there is no rice or salt, in the end, the two children turn into birds.

In the Indon Song, there's a line that offends the parents. Because there's no one in the forest, and there's no rice or salt, in the end, the two children turn into birds.
