Original description
en Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. Composition: kangkuang rectangular slot drum + tuung hanging cylindrical drum + 4 large garantung gong (played by three men) + babandi gong. Behind we hear the women chanting (to manimang). The musicians have vests. The rhythm is repeated three times.

fr Enregistrements sonores inédits réalisés en Indonésie (West Kalimantan) en 1997 par Dana Rappoport, auprès des populations Dayak Taman, Iban, Kayan Mendalam. Composition: tambour à fente rectangulaire kangkuang + tambour cylindrique suspendu tuung + 4 grands gong garantung (joués par trois hommes) + gong babandi. Derrière on entend les femmes psalmodier (to manimang). Les musiciens ont des gilets. La rythmique est répété trois fois.

SEA Annotations
en 2nd night of a six-day ritual (Gawai Mamandung ritual). This day is called Bumbulan. Repeated structure of the ritual sequences:
1) opening by the singers
2) gong: introductory ritual opening
3) descent of the men and women of the house, they will dance around the cages to the sound of the manjaratun
4) the rest of the night goes by to the sound of the piece gulembang.
