en French musicologist and musician, specialist of ancient instruments, which led her to be appointed curator of the Instrumental Museum of the Paris Conservatory from 1961 to 1973, and president of ICOM (International Council of Museums). In 1953, she succeeded her husband, Hubert de Chambure, as administrator of the Indochinese Rubber Plantation Company (SIPH). She collected recordings and musical instruments in Viet Nam (1957-1960).
