SEA Annotations
en “Kasu Gul” (“bringing down the dead”), the first ritual of the funeral ceremony for L. Berthe. Recitation by Bere Loeq, in Dirun (supported by a male voice). He is brought down from the Masoq Ma, that is to say from the hot path since it is not a natural death but a suicide. A goat is killed and its pulpit hangs from a bamboo pole representing the Masoq ma hot altar. Goat meat is offered instead of the dead.
