And this tape comprises recordings borrowed from the National Archive and is being copied on 9th of May 1991. And all these recordings feature the poetess Ruth Pitter, although there are other tracks and bands amongst this recording. The first one I shall transfer is BBC Sound Archives LP 23052. Personal Call of Ruth Pitter interviewed by Stephen Black. This was transmitted on a network which had the BBC had in those days entitled London Calling Asia on the 24th of October 1955, having been recorded on the 19th of October. This is a double-sided 10 inch LP total duration is 17 min 17 sec. and I shall join the 2 sides up.
