Ce conte a été traduit par Mme Solange Thierry et François Martini (version écrite de l'institut bouddhique de Phnom Penh). Cette version orale est plus longue que la version écrite de l'Institut bouddhique de Phnom Penh. Variante assez importante par rapport à la version écrite: ex: description très détaillée du personnage. 1ère bobine : 2 jeunes hommes pauvres orphelins dont l'aîné est allé travailler chez le "setthi" (le grand riche). Il aime la fille de "setthi" (jeu de mots). A 8heures du soir, il est allé coucher avec elle. Le matin, setthi les surprend, et leur donne l'autorisation de se marier•
