Recording of music and interviews collected in North Viet Nam in 1973 from different populations by the French ethnologist Georges Condominas during a research expedition. With 43,000 individuals in the provinces bordering Laos, the Khmu constitute the largest Mon-Khmer linguistic group in northern Viet Nam. Strongly influenced by the Thai, the Khmu adopted a certain number of their cultural traits.

Avec 43 000 individus dans les provinces frontalières avec le Laos, les Khmu constituent le groupe linguistique mon-khmer le plus important au nord du Viet Nam.
Fortement influencés par les Thaï, les Khmu ont adopté un certain nombre de leurs traits culturels.
