History of the origin of the Laha village
Recording of music and interviews collected in North Viet Nam in 1973 from different populations by the French ethnologist Georges Condominas during a research expedition. The Laha belong to the "kadai" group and number 6,600 (at that time). Research on the Laha dialect was done in 1986 by Russian linguists and in 1996 by an American linguist, Jerold A. Edmondson.
