The Jörai have made “Pötao” an essential element of their conception of the universe. They recognize three masters of "Pötao", metaphorically classified as Fire, Air and Water. Unpublished sound recordings of music from Viet Nam (rituals of the Cham and Jörai populations), Malaysia and Indonesia, made in 1969-1970 by the researcher and French missionary Jacques Dournes.
