Unpublished sound recordings of instrumental/vocal melodies and instrumental performances made by Jacques Dournes from 1963 to 1964 in Vietnam with the Jarai population. VIELE: monochord fiddle "köni"; Playing the monochord fiddle "köni" implies that the musician also produces sounds with his voice: a string attached to the string of the instrument is held by his mouth.
