Private recording, at my request, of a young singer from the village. This sung poem is performed at the communal temple during the third part of the village's annual ritual festival, dedicated to dance (to music, of course) and a tribute to Buddha outside the pagoda. Translated excerpts from this poem: 'I know not when my lover will return/I remember his promise and I yearn for him in his absence./My feelings melt into a magnificent landscape/of snow and vines/of ancient palaces and renowned pagodas/while beautiful young men and women move around me.../As I light the incense, I also join my hands/in a gesture of filial gratitude to Buddha Nhu Lai.' The 'DAN DAY' is a three-stringed lute with a bottomless body. The 'TRONG CHAU' is a two-headed drum played with a bare hand and a wooden stick.

Enregistrement privé, à ma demande, d'une jeune chanteuse du village. Ce poème chanté est exécuté au temple communal durant la troisième partie des fêtes rituelles annuelles du village consacrée à la danse (en musique bien sûr) et à une évocation, hors de la pagode, de Bouddha. Extraits traduits de ce poème : 'Je ne sais quand mon amant reviendra/Je me souviens de sa promesse et je languis de nostalgie en son absence./Mes sentiments se fondent dans un paysage grandiose/de neige et de vigne/de palais antiques et de pagodons renommés/tandis qu'évoluent autour de moi de magnifiques jeunes gens et jeunes filles.../En allumant l'encens, je joins aussi mes mains/en geste de filiale gratitude pour Bouddha Nhu Lai'. Le 'DAN DAY' est un luth à 3 cordes dont la caisse est sans fond.
Le 'TRONG CHAU' est un tambour à 2 membranes frappé avec une main nue et une baguette en bois.
