Private recording, made at my request at the musicians' home. The piece 'Ty Ba Hanh' (lit. 'Song Accompanied by the Ty Ba Lute'), considered the most difficult because it incorporates the five cung (five pentatonic pitch systems) of the Ca Trù, is based on the Vietnamese transcription of two Chinese poems. The first poem, entitled 'Autumn Inspiration,' consists of eight lines. The second poem, sung after the first, is a Vietnamese adaptation of an 88-line Chinese poem. In this poem, a singer recounts her past glory at court, her marriage to a greedy old merchant, her loneliness, and her sadness. To the singer's narrative, the poet responds by evoking his own life, his career at court, and his disgrace experienced in exile, illness, and solitude. Nguyen Thuy Hoa (born in 1974) is the sister of Nguyen Van Khue (born in 1962).

Enregistrement privé, réalisé à ma demande chez les musiciens. La pièce du 'Ty ba hanh' (litt. 'chant accompagné par le luth ty ba'), réputée la plus difficile car elle comporte les cinq cung (soit cinq systèmes pentatoniques de hauteurs) du Ca Trù, s'appuie sur la transcription en vietnamien de deux poèmes chinois. Le premier poème, intitulé 'Inspiration d'automne', se compose de huit vers. Le second poème, chanté à la suite du premier, est une adaptation en vietnamien d'un poème chinois de 88 vers. Dans ce poème, une chanteuse raconte sa gloire passée à la Cour, son mariage avec un vieux marchand âpre au gain, sa solitude et sa tristesse. Au récit de la chanteuse, le poète répond par l'évocation de sa propre vie, de sa carrière à la Cour et de sa disgrâce vécue dans l'exil, la maladie et la solitude. Nguyen Thuy Hoa (née en 1974) est la soeur de Nguyên Vân Khuê (né en 1962).
