Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. long cylindrical drum with one skin, suspended at the top of the common gallery of the long house. It measures 150 to 200 cm long. It is struck using 2 sticks. Compared to the kangkuang slot drum, its sound is rather dry and hollow. This drum introduces the welcome musical pieces.

fr Enregistrements sonores inédits réalisés en Indonésie (West Kalimantan) en 1997 par Dana Rappoport, auprès des populations Dayak Taman, Iban, Kayan Mendalam. long tambour cylindrique à une peau, suspendu en haut de la galerie comune de la longue maison. Il mesure 150 à 200 cm de long. Il est frappé à l'aide de 2 baguettes. Comparée au tambour à fente kangkuang, sa sonorité est plutôt sèche et creuse. Ce tambour introduit les pièces musicales d'accueil.
id Rekaman dibuat di Indonesia (Kalimantan Barat) pada tahun 1997 oleh Dana Rappoport, dalam masyarakat Mendalam Dayak Taman, Iban, Kayan. Gendang berbentuk silinder panjang dengan satu kulit, digantung di bagian atas galeri umum rumah panjang. Panjangnya 150 hingga 200 cm. Pukulannya menggunakan 2 batang kayu. Dibandingkan dengan drum slot kangkuang, suaranya agak kering dan hampa. Drum ini memperkenalkan karya musik selamat datang.
