Avant la mise à l'eau d'une grande pirogue au village de Jiranomeylek, les "constructeurs" et l'ensemble des villageois doivent s'exercer à "expulser les morts du bateau" (mangaoy o anito do cinedkeran). Les rites d'expulsion s'intensifient au signal du barreur. Des buissons environnants, de directions différentes, surgissent des files d'hommes, par groupes d'âge : petits garçons, jeunes garçons, adolescents, hommes mariés, hommes d'âge mûr et vieillards, ayant la mission de "se mettre en colère contre la pirogue et de la battre". Les yeux exorbités, tapant des pieds, le poing tournant à hauteur de la ceinture et de la , poitrine d'un mouvement vif et saccadé, soufflant avec force, tous les hommes du village entourent la grande pirogue pour "la battre". Ce combat a pour but de faire fuir les "esprits des morts" (anito) de l'intérieur de la coque du bateau afin de pouvoir le soulever dans les airs. Une fois que le responsable du lignage "constructeur" a proféré les dernières imprécations contre les participants surnaturels et les a chassés de son couteau à découper, les veines des hommes sont censées "regonfler et redurcir", la "force vitale" se rétablir. La grande pirogue devient un jouet entre leurs mains et peut être lancée très haut, jusqu'à atteindre la partie médiane du ciel, résidence des "esprits des morts du haut" (anianito do teingato).

Before launching a large canoe in the village of Jiranomeylek, the "builders" and all the villagers must practice "expelling the dead from the boat" (mangaoy o anito do cinedkeran). The expulsion rites intensify at the signal from the helmsman. From the surrounding bushes, from different directions, emerge lines of men, by age groups: little boys, young boys, adolescents, married men, middle-aged men and old men, with the mission of "getting angry with the canoe and beat it". Eyes bulging, stamping their feet, fists rotating at the height of their belt and chest, chest in a quick and jerky movement, blowing forcefully, all the men of the village surround the large canoe to "beat" it. This fight aims to scare away the "spirits of the dead" (anito) from inside the hull of the boat in order to be able to lift it into the air. Once the leader of the "builder" lineage has uttered the final imprecations against the supernatural participants and chased them away with his carving knife, the men's veins are said to "swell and harden," the "life force" restored. The large canoe becomes a toy in their hands and can be launched very high, until it reaches the middle part of the sky, residence of the "spirits of the dead from above" (anianito do teingato). - Joust of songs (kariag) accompanied by hand clapping from the village of Jiraraley.
