Ema' Hinggi cradles her great grandson in the afternoon. His voice is serious. The recording was made under an outdoor shelter. The child is lying in a Sarong and the performer applies a vertical motion to the Sarong, which rocks the child up and down. Note: The pulsation of the lullaby is not isochronous, however the movement of the rocking is regular. The melody and rhythm are not fixed: a rhythmic melodic outline is repeated but the lyrics change with each repetition. The melody is mainly syllabic. The vocal range seems to be a Major Third (G-B).

Ema' Hinggi berce son arrière petit fils dans l'après midi. Sa voix est grave. L'enfant est allongé dans un Sarong et l'interprète applique un mouvement vertical au Sarong, ce qui berce l'enfant de bas en haut.
Remarque :La pulsation de la berceuse n'est pas isochrone cependant le mouvement du bercement est régulier. La mélodie et le rythme ne sont pas fixés: un contour mélodico rythmique est repris mais les paroles changent à chaque reprise. La mélodie est principalement syllabique. L'ambitus du chant semble être une tierce Majeure (Sol-Si).

Ema' Hinggi menggendong cicitnya di sore hari. Suaranya sangat dalam. Anak berbaring di dalam sarung dan pemain melakukan gerakan vertikal pada sarung, mengayunkan anak dari bawah ke atas. Catatan: Denyut nadi lagu pengantar tidur tidak berirama, tetapi gerakan mengayunnya teratur. Melodi dan ritme tidak tetap: garis besar melodi dan ritme diulang-ulang, namun kata-katanya selalu berubah. Melodinya sebagian besar berupa suku kata. Kisaran lagu ini tampaknya adalah sepertiga mayor (G-Si).
