Flores island, Kabupaten Flores Timur, Kecamatan TANJUNG BUNGA, desa Waiklibang (Keywords): rice treading Agrarian song. The day after the rice origin story, everyone harvests the Maran field. Young men work the rice by treading it to separate the stalk from the grains. The lyrics are often funny and ribald. (cf. Transcriptions from Lamaholot to Indonesian). They parody the great origin myth. The soloist improvises lyrics often in two languages, Lamaholot and Nagi (Larantuka Malay). See Film cassette 20, 21, 22. •
