“According to Father Boutary, the dance ceremonies took place on the occasion of the sacrifices at the end of the harvest, after the rice had been brought back to the granary in the house. On this occasion we invited neighboring villages. There was a buffalo sacrifice. The party lasted 2 days and 2 nights.” (Cf.
