Original description

en Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. Also called dondoronak.
Composition: 6 instrumentalists2 on tawak 1 and 2, 1 on galentang, 1 playing 2 babandi gongs, 1 kangkuang slot drum, 1 tuung cylindrical drum. The cycle is repeated three times.
Over the three cycles, each time, the tempo slows down by half. They drink again before playing.

It is the strike which sends the dead to his grave or which drives the body. These strikes are reserved for those who have done Gawai.

Kelompok : 6 pemain2 pemain tawak 1 dan 2, 1 pemain galentang, 1 pemain memainkan 2 buah gong babandi, 1 buah gendang slot kangkuang, 1 buah gendang tuung berbentuk silinder. Siklus ini diulang tiga kali.
Selama tiga siklus, setiap kali tempo melambat setengahnya. Mereka minum lagi sebelum bermain.

SEA Annotations

en 2nd night of a six-day ritual (Gawai Mamandung ritual). This day is called Bumbulan. Repeated structure of the ritual sequences:
1) opening by the singers
2) gong: introductory ritual opening
3) descent of the men and women of the house, they will dance around the cages to the sound of the manjaratun
4) the rest of the night goes by to the sound of the piece gulembang.
