Field recordings made in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, in 1997 by D. Rappoport :Dayak, Iban, Kayan populations. Four women are seated in front of offerings, on the side of the house. Opposite, the men are in suits. The third group upstream of the house;

Enregistrements sonores inédits réalisés en Indonésie (West Kalimantan) en 1997 par Dana Rappoport, auprès des populations Dayak Taman, Iban, Kayan Mendalam. Quatre femmes assises devant des offrandes, du côté de la maison. En face, les hommes costume. Le troisième groupe en amont de la maison;

2nd night of a six-day ritual (Gawai Mamandung ritual). This day is called Bumbulan. Repeated structure of the ritual sequences:
1) opening by the singers
2) gong: introductory ritual opening
3) descent of the men and women of the house, they will dance around the cages to the sound of the manjaratun
4) the rest of the night goes by to the sound of the piece gulembang.
